Use Bactine® First-Aid Pump Spray to help prevent skin infection, associated with minor, cuts, scrapes and burns.

How to Treat Minor Cuts and Scrapes

Use Bactine® First-Aid Pump Spray to help clean away dirt and debris, help prevent skin infection and relieve pain. To stop the bleeding, gently apply pressure using a clean cloth or gauze. You may apply an adhesive bandage to help keep the cut clean and prevent the wound from reopening. Consult your doctor if the wound is deep and may require stitches or if it has been caused by something like glass or a rusty nail and may require a tetanus shot.

How to Treat Minor Burns

Minor burns can occur from touching a hot object. The first step in treating a minor burn is to cool the area right away with cool water or a cool cloth. This helps prevent the skin from continuing to burn. Use Bactine® First-Aid Pump Spray to help prevent skin infection and relieve pain. Do not break any blisters that form as they help to protect the skin as it heals. Consult your doctor if a burn seems severe or you’re not sure.

How to Treat Sunburn

Too much exposure to the sun can result in painful sunburn. If you get a sunburn take a cool bath or shower. Use Bactine® Pain Relieving Cleaning Spray for temporary relief of pain and itching, associated with minor sunburn. You may also want to apply a moisturizing lotion several times a day. Don't use petroleum jelly or butter, because they can prevent or delay healing. Consult your doctor if your sunburn begins to blister or you experience complications.

How to Remove Splinters or Foreign Objects from the Skin

If a splinter of wood or other foreign object gets embedded in your skin, wash your hands well. Sterilized a pair of tweezers with alcohol or clean with soap and water, and gently pull out the object. A magnifying glass may help you to see it better. If the object is deeply embedded in your skin carefully loosen the skin that’s around the splinter with a sterile needle then use the tweezers to remove it. Use Bactine® First-Aid Pump Spray to help prevent skin infection. Seek medical help if the object doesn't come out easily.
